Microsoft Tech-Ed 2007 changed to Orlando

Microsoft has made the difficult decision not to hold Tech·Ed 2007 in New Orleans. With this event drawing a large number of attendees from around the world and with the airlines only servicing the city with about half of their pre-Katrina flights, the logistics of moving that large a group into and out of the city is challenging and would likely result in travel and logistical challenges for attendees.

Will Microsoft acquire Yahoo?

I have felt for sometime that the conditions are right for Microsoft to acquire Yahoo. If Microsoft truly wants to take on Google, then acquiring Yahoo is their best shot. Blogger "ShoeMoney" (Jeremy Schoemaker) lists 10 Reasons Why Microsoft Will Acquire Yahoo in 2007. I totally concur with his reasoning. I would also add to his list:

FrontPage - R.I.P. (1996 - 2006)

At the ripe old age of ten, the FrontPage web authoring tool has been laid to rest by Microsoft. In it's place Microsoft has introduced Expression Web and Office SharePoint Designer 2007. This next generation of Microsoft web developer software divides its users into two groups, those who want to create SharePoint web sites, and those who don't.
